Are some of these modules not recognized by XOOPS 2.0.9.2:

Docmanager 1.1.0
vlWeather 0.9
Addressbook 0.01

Just to name a few...
I have not been able to have XOOPS recognize any modules I'm trying. I did successfully install Agenda-X. Very nice!

Any ideas? Do I need to supply more details?

More details would be great. Do you get a module not found in the modules admin?

See this series of Flash Tutorials on the subject.

Wow! Great site! Extremely useful tutorials!
I'm uploading files via FTP to the modules directory, making sure that the module structure is as shown on your site (has xoops_version.php and an index file, then all the rest of the directories).
My server has PHP v.4.3.1.1 and MySQL v.4.0.2.3

The modules that came as part of the modules admin install fine. The ones I've downloaded from Xoops' module repository aren't recognized. Does this mean they will only work on older XOOPS versions?

Thanks for your useful site! That's a heck of a lot of work you put into the (very complete) tutorials.

That probably means they were written for older versions of XOOPS and do not work on current versions. Track the developer's sites, sometimes an updated version is available there. If they still support it.

Thanks for the feedback about my site. Please visit again.

Now I'm beginning to wonder...I see you have Solo's Multimenu 1.7 on your own site. I've tried that module, same thing. Are you using the lates Xoops?
Sorry about all the bother. Just trying to get some needed features up on my site over the weekend.
Thanks

Right now I am using 2.0.9.2. Will be upgrading shortly to 2.0.10. I always stay with the latest.

I'm using multiMenu on the latest version without any trouble.
