Hi guys I have finally found the hack everyone is asking for, the one which transforms the user info page by adding an "ID Card" where webmasters can specify many more fields for the users to fill in plus the ability for them to upload their own picture (in addition to the avatar!), as seen here: ID Profile Hack

Unfortunately this hack is for XOOPS Version 1. If anyone could convert it so that it is XOOPS 2.0.7 compatible I would very much appreciate it (even pay for it).

I have browsed through the forums and so many people have asked for this particular feature I think this would seriously benefit the XOOPS Community.

yeah that will solve many problems and edit problems!

I also vote for the conversion!
I need XOOPS 2.0.6 compatibility. I suppose that it can be compatible for both.

unregistered users can't download.. and i don't speak russian so i have no idea where to do it.. i cud register but then i'd be lost..

hehe i see loads of people are interested.

ok i have uploaded the files to my server so you can download it here: Profile Hack

this hack if from a french coder, he had included a text file to explain how he did his hack, but its in french...


Anyway hope someone can convert this as it is an amazing hack.

This guy also made a block that displays all the users online (like the Who's Online block) but where guys have blue links and girls pink links. Great block for people wanting to create a "dating/make friends" community. It uses the variables from the Profile hack.

well after reading the hack, there's not much point in converting it..

the easiest way is just to edit the XOOPS 2 files themselves similar to when editing the registration form..

i have most of this done, although i haven't done the image uploading part yet or anything.. but that shouldn't be too difficult i hope. also need to set the template up a little better..

files to edit are:

root/edituser.php
root/userinfo.php
kernel/user.php
language/english/user.php
modules/system/templates/system_userinfo.html

i'll post the full hack and instructions once i have it looking better.. (i'm working on XOOPS 2.0.9.2) but the instructions should work for pre 2.0.9.2 versions and also for the 2.0.10 version.

Ok cool well when u finished translating the image upload (most important part i think) and testing it can u send the updated version together with details instructions notes?

The reason I am saying that is that in the readme file the guy is saying that in order to install the hack you not only need to edit these files but also edit the database itself, which can be quite tricky for some people who don't master php.
