When you go into the xcGal module on the front-end there are links in the top-right of the module. There you will find one that says Upload Picture. The link to this page is http://(your_site)/modules/xcgal/upload.php

You need to set xcgal group permissions to who can upload, etc then you will have to create a category/album before you can upload. As above post you can upload via the front end by clicking on Upload Picture link in the module front end, user side.

You can also batch upload by ftp'ing a folder of pictures into the xcgal/albums directory then select Batch Add Pictures from xcgal admin - ensure the folder you upload is chmod to 777.

I understood from reading the blurb on the XCgal you could not batch upload via FTP in ver 1.1

CLICK TO READ IT

That is what I thought was to be included in the 1.3 version of coppermine ported to Xoops.

Hey...I'm happy with that if it's so, because I've been using the standalone version of Coppermine. I'd love to get one registration and same theme on my site.
