Just a couple of questions about the news module,

1. Probably quite easy but can't find it anywhere, how do you make more of the story appear on index rather than just the title of the news topics?

2. Is there any way of simplifying the news input form for users. For example remove things like (Set the date/time of publish, Publish in Home?, Display Topic Image?) So they are automatic rather than being selected?

1. From Module preferences, choose classic for way of viewing instead of topics.

2. No way, try with AMS older than 2.x or articles-0.xx (seems unmaintained anymore)

Hi,

I think you are wrong for the 2nd questions. I mean, all these options are available if you are the Admin.
Try to use a "virtual member" (a user you've created just to see what "the others" see).

And you'll see that just some options are availables. On my website there are:

Title
Subject
"Scoop" (don't know how we say it in english).
And 2 options : Notify by mails when publish
Disable smilies

Another problem I am having is that if you can set a groups permissions to approve and submit news. How can you set it so a group can view news submissions in their category and approve those? Without having to go into the admin area where they can view all submissions.
