Hi all,

I use XOOPS for my website ( http://www.DJ-K.Biz ) but the Ie "frozen" for 20-30 seconds before opening the page, this is not spyware, i test on several machines, and i have some users report. On Firefox all is ok, i think is a sctructure problem (maybe on table usage).

Can i have your help?

Tks on advance,

it's probably the loading time for your Flash header image.

More information:

The problem only happen on the firts page (entry page)
if people enter on other pages (eg: http://www.dj-k.biz/modules/mylinks/ ) all is ok.

I use tables to separe swf's from text on the blocks. i guess that is a problem.
The code i use is:
<table><tr><th><object width="300" height="130"><param name="movie" value="/al.swf"><embed src="/al.swf" width="300" height="130">embed>object>th><th>[en]DJ Pete Kriven Will Be Present Alcantara Club (Lisbonon 30 April 2005. (Flyer and info online soon).[/en][pt]DJ Pete Kriven estará presente no próximo dia 30 de Abril no Alcantara Club (Flyer e mais info brevemente online)[/pt]
th>tr>table>

Tables are part of the HTML 4.01 specifications, and are not rendered differently in IE or Gecko-powered browsers like Firefox. So that can't be the problem.

Maybe you have a problem with style.css and/or theme.html
Have you tried to verify your code (i.e., if it's well-formed) with TopStyle or Dreamweaver?

Well, my browser tells me that you have a script error on your page. Maybe you should check which scripts are inculded into your theme and/or modules, you might find the answer there.
