I am having trouble when I set my new site to
"requires activation by users" in that an email is not sent out to the user.

I have another site using XOOPS and I cannot seem to find the error.

At the moment I have this setting off to allow for new members.

Any Ideas???? please.

You could always re send the activation key to all the members you that you require them to authenticate there email address.

You can do this by going to system menu>mail users and send the email to the registered users and include in the body of the message this

hope that helps

That is a great tip that we all should be aware of... thanks for that.

I have overcome this problem now... I have been switching between options and now it is working on the email activation mode.

thanks XOOPS people for the quick responses... as always help is near on immediate here.

Have you double checked your mail settings in Admin-preferences? Could be the smallest of typos.

This problem just popped up for me as well, no problem 2 days ago, problem today? Strange

Anyway, thanx for the great tip, my new members hopefully have their activation links just fine.

My host is fasthosts by the way, I would be interested to know if anyone else that gets this problem is with fasthosts - possibly something they have done??

Thanx again

Dave
