Hi everyone:

In my attempt to install one of the image gallery modules for Xoops, I have the problem that the server hosting my site (godaddy.com) doesn't have ImageMagick installed.

Is there a way to install it as a standalone (statically linked?) version of ImageMagick? Or better yet, has anyone succesfully used any of these Image manipulation packages on a godaddy.com that will work with xoopsgallery, mygallery, galeria, etc?

Any suggestion is greatly appreciated!

no you cant to my knowledge place it within your hosting DIRs as it has dlls that must be registered and what not. Seconds godaddy isnt a respectable hosting service. LOVE THERE DOMAIN PRICING! but hosting is weak consider hosting with me, or hosrocket, lypha network, surpass hosting, or profez.

If not then use GD as it comes with PHP and should be enabled.

I realize godaddy's hosting service is extremely poor. Unfortunately, I'm stuck with them for a year . Of course I will change hosting company after that time, but for now I must find a solution to this problem.
We are not talking DLLs since it is the unix servers that I'm using. Maybe that makes a difference

Also, I haven't found any XOOPS modules that use GD. I know coppermine those, but it isn't a module for Xoops. Do you know of any? I am certain that GD is enabled in their php setup.

Thanks for your reply!

I'm trying it right now...I'm at the moment uploading the images to the server.
Thanks for the advice, I'll let you know how it worked out. It seems like it will be ok.

most of the albums can use any of the three engines mentioned. NetPBM can be installed on your site and used without root access if you install the binary version then specify the location to the gallery.
