hi, I have recently installed XAMPP on a windoze box and installed XOOPS and a number of modules.

XAMPP allows you to switch between PHP 4.3.9 and PHP 5.0.

When this happens we get the following message:


Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_CLONE, expecting T_STRING in C:\apachefriends\xampp\htdocs\xoops\html\kernel\object.php on line 528

I will be only using PHP5 on this machine in the future. Does anyon know how many issues we are likely to encounter? Should I re-install under PHP5?

Is there a patch to accommodate this?

Am I likelt to find this kind of issue spread through the whole framework?

it maybe worth updating xampp to the latest version currently i think it's 1.4.11, i have it running without problems in both php 4 mode and php 5 mode..

Are you using XOOPS 2.0.9.2? Earlier versions are known to be incompatible with PHP5.
