In the admin section, go to settings and set a module for the startpage (like news), that's all you have to do to have some content. Furthermore you can set blocks in the center (and center left, center right) for more content in the same way you've set blocks left and right like the who's online block.

Cool! thnx! Now it will work i think!
thank you!

//edit
One other thing! If people register, they don't get a notification mail, why is that?

My configuration:
Mail delivery method PHP mail()
Path to sendmail /usr/sbin/sendmail
SMTP host(s) mail.freeprohost.com:25 (i've tryed it with and without port 25)
SMTPAuth username,
SMTPAuth password don't know what this it, and I think it's isn't necessary..

Thanks in advance!

How can I add new modules??

if you've set the Mail delivery method to phpmail the system will not use your smtp settings, change that to smtp. Don't use the smtp_auth option since you don't seem to have the required info for that.

edit:
new modules: download the module you want, place it in the module dir of your XOOPS install, goto admin/modules and you'll see that a new module is displayed at the bottom of the screen. there you can install it and than configure it

the smtp username and smtp auth password, are basically your username and password for the email account..

well thats how it works on my server..

ie, create an email account from your server control panel say call it admin@yourdomain.com

and then use that username and password for the smtp.. but it shouldn't be necessary to use.. tho i don't think sendmail actually works with iiS servers only linux but i could be wrong there..
