How do I let XOOPS work with other language?HELP ME!

I supprised with xoops' power and let it work with english stable.But i am chinese, and want to let it work with my mother-language.I download the language package(schinese language package) and unzip the files in the directory (xoops/language, xoops/modules/xx/language/) .I also set 'schinese' in the language of admin page(system/prefrenece).But it don't work . Why ? And How do I?

if your XOOPS doesnt support chinese mine doesnt support ENGLISH!

I got an arabic ONLY xoops, i wanted english. I downloaded XOOPS from here and took the english folder from the language folder and uploaded it to the website....

it doesnt work...is there a better way?

Maybe you want to check on https://xoops.org.cn/ too. You might eventually get your answer faster there than here.

@wolfking: download the latest english version here and upload all the files (mainfile.php excluded).

i am afraid i would do that and i lose the arabic version :(

I could have swear that I saw a XOOPS on some site that made me chose which language I prefer on the site,

just like how i switch themes

and it was for the visitors not the administrators

do you want to run a bilingual site with xoops?
i run a half static and private site with english and persian language and theme change when you change the lang (persian is RTL as arabic) but i do many hacks on this site for make it static and bilingual
