Install Wizard for XOOPS 2.0

Hi all,

I am new to XOOPS and to this forum. I was following the XOOPS Installation Guide to do the install. When I click the NEXT button on the first screen (Welcome to the Install Wizard for XOOPS 2.0) nothing happens i.e. does not take me to the next screen. Your help is very much appreciated.

what version you using?

what O/s you using? php version, MySQL version, apache, IIS, what is displayed on my TV at moment?

we could do with a little more info regarding your server setup, before any1 could give a solution..

Sorry for not providing my environment. I use the following:

Windows 2000 Professional
PHP 5.0.2
MySQL 4.1.7
Apatche 2.0.50
Browser Firefox 1.0

Could you please elaborate on your questions - "What is displayed on my TV at moment?"

You might have better luck using PHP 4.x and MySQL 4.0.x.

Personally I wouldn't use Win2K either but it should work.. for a while..

sorry that comment abt my tv screen was a bit of sarcasm.

but as don says, if ur using XOOPS 2.0.7.3 then you need to use php 4.3.9 as it isn't compatible with php 5.

Is there a version of XOOPS that works with PHP5? I would like to use PHP5 if at all possible.

see the XOOPS 2.0.9 Beta for php 5

remember tho it is still Beta and not a final release..

xoops 2.0.9 beta released and compatible with php5 but u must use it in a test site and maybe in a production site with your own risk
