These are not warnings, they are notices. Big difference. Fatal errors are the ones to really concern you.

Turn off the debug and the notices will not display any more

but it is not important to know why XOOPS marks it these notices? perhaps I would want to understand better..... it is only a upgrade problem, or not?

nah, basically the definitions for those haven't been read by the script, either they haven't been written yet or not included.. it's no concern really, and these will probably be cleared up when the final version is released..

If the notices about undefined variables are present in the latest version of NewBB, they should be reported on the NewBB bug tracker: http://dev.xoops.org/modules/xfmod/tracker/?group_id=1001&atid=104

If they're not reported there, they probably won't get fixed.
