Hello!

I have a server od 100MB (I pay for it) with MySQL and PHP. I have one page allready on this server but i would like to have another page for testing things....

Can I just create a new folder named Test (on the server) and put another XOOPS site in that folder ? Will that damage my base or something ... ?

Tnx.

It won't be a problem, in fact I've run 5 at once. All you need to do is create a new directory for each XOOPS root. Create a database fr each installation, or if you only have one DB, create a different DB table prefix, like xoops01, xoops02, etc. Either way will work just fine.

Becareful not to overwrite existing tables with the same prefix if your using the same DB. Thats the only thing you need to be careful about.

yes, you can have multiple XOOPS sites on the same server. Just install the new site in a new folder. Use a new name for the new database.

Yes they work with only one issue. Some of the add-on modules have problems with links. These problems can be corrected with the templates.

If you want a domain name to access the site. Make an add on domain in CPanel.

For testing just access it by directory.

For subdomain just create access http://test.yourdomain.com/
