Does anybody know if there exists a block or a module to manage to image uploads for example for News or the new AMS? I do not want to go via the administration menu and FTP dont give any entries in the image handling components.

Hmmmm, as I said in my first post:
I do not want to go via the administration menu

Why? Because I need to be able to upload images only with a PocketPc on a upcoming project.

You don't need to go in the admin panel, except the first time to give yourself the perms.

Hervé, can you explain that in more detail, please.

I am the webmaster and then I am as default allowed to use the image manager. Sorry but I do not understand what you are refering to?

Hervé, I made a block only visible and accessible for the webmaster, containing a link to the image manager. That seems to work.

Was that what you were referring to?

Thanks for your help!

If you are using the default text editor that comes with XOOPS there is a button there for the image manager. It's next to the image button, has the same icon but also has the word 'manager' next to it... just reply to this post and you should see it

Try to study the image manager.
1) From the admin panel, go in the part reserved to it
2) Create a category and upload a picture inside your category
3) Assign the rights to upload picture to yourself.

Later, when you are "using" your site, from any module that use the default text editor, like the news module for example, you can insert images inside your text AND upload pictures.

You just have to click on button labeled "Manager".

Bye,
Hervé
