This page cannot be displayed due to an internal error.

If you are the administrator of this site, please visit the XOOPS Troubleshooting Page for assistance.

Error [Xoops]: Unable to connect to database in file class/database/databasefactory.php line 34

I can't get on to it and I didn't do anything before this happened.

What could be the problem.

James

I would say that this is a problem with your server.

Everytime I've got this error, it's because my server is being upgraded and my sql databases are offline/inaccessible.

I've had this error many many times. Hopefully it's nothing to be too worried about.

Yep, XOOPS is unable to connect to your MySQL database for some reason. If you haven't touched anything I'd be contacting your host.

Yeah, contact your host if you cannot get access to the database through other (non-xoops) means - such as CPanel/HSphere/PHPMyAdmin or whatever tool, your host has provided for managing your database.

off-topic, yet related... I just got that same error trying to connect to xoops.org. After 5 refreshes it finally loaded the page.

I just mention it here because it's sort of related and I don't know where else to report it
