What, delete everything? there are alot of files in there.

No, don't delete anything.

On the administration menu, go to preferences > General preferences, and set:
"Update module template .html files from themes/your theme/templates directory?"
to yes

Then you'll be able to make changes to theme.html and see the changes by refreshing your browser.

sorry my mistake... long day at work!, theme.html not index.html.


If your changing the theme.html file, you shouldn't have to touch any thing else, your theme will be updated automatically, once you re upload the file... unless your actually changing it directly in XOOPS admin / templates.

I dont see a reason why you need to delete any thing! thats just a waste of time when you can just update them.

Not a bad effort, but I would tend to agree with the others. You might also want to give some attention to contents as your page contains 105 http requests and around 430kb of data.

what kind of tool we can use to see the number of http requests, brash? i want to check and improve my website's performance too.

I use the IBM page detailer basic for this. It's a free download from the IBM alphaworks site .

Ok, I'll give that IBM tool a look at to lower the content size.

I like the website without any graphics it looks really good. Not all websites need graphics but something at the top would spice this site up. The only thing I can see that the site NEEDS is a clock have you thought of putting one in there are many sorts of clocks out there …….. There is even a clock module for XOOPS however a nice java text clock would look nice around the header somewhere every site should have a clock there good phun.
