Hi,

I am not sure if this is the correct forum to ask this...but is it possible to have, for example NewBB2, using the site's default theme but have a different theme by passing a parameter to the PHP script so the themes is different?

E.g. https://xoops.org/modules/newbb/index.php?theme=something_else

This way I could use the same forum on different sites (the second site linking to the first)

Or perhaps there is another way of doing this, any help would be appreciated!

try the theme changer module with any theme without the side collumns...

Theme Changer 2.00:
http://tms.s10.xrea.com/mydownloads+index+.htm

--------------------------------------------

Theme Changer 2.0 enables you to switch your themes for each module. By using a special theme file, a module and mysql, it switches themes.

+ Features +
- You can set a theme just for the top page of your site.
- You can configure themes and so on for each module.
What you can configure is as follows:
----Themes
----Site titles
----Site subtitles
----META(keywords)
----META(Description)

+ Using Sample +
-Layout particular pages, like WIKI or TinyContent, easer to see by using a theme altered places of blocks.
-Make unique mood module by module…
-Change your site’s title and META tags for search engines.
…etc

The possibility of this module depends on your usage.

+ Install +
1st:Upload “theme_changer into the modules directory in your server.
2nd:Install it.
3rd:Upload the enclosed theme “z_changeable_theme into the themes directory.
4th:Change "Default theme" of preferences in system admin to “z_changeable_theme.

Thank you for your reply.

The Theme Changer is a nice module but doesn't seem to have the capabilities to have the forums using the same theme as my site and then have a way to have a second theme for another site using my existing forum data.

Do you know what I mean or should I reply with more details as to what I am trying to do?
