Look, these directoryes must be CHMD to 777: cache, templates_c and uploads. The mainfile.php must be CHMD to 444.

marshall - can you turn on PHP Debugging for me on your site?

To do so, first go to:
http://prepsportsmonthly.com/xoops/user.php and login with your admin password

Then go to http://prepsportsmonthly.com/xoops/admin.php

From there go to System -> Preferences -> General Settings and set debug mode to "PHP Debug". Save these settings and return to your home page. If there were any PHP level errors in loading your page they should be displayed below the "Powered By XOOPS" line. With some luck, they should tell us what the problem is.

also after doing some sleuthing on my own, it looks like the theme you are using assumes that it will be installed in /themes/imago06 with all the images in /themes/imago06/images/ . Try renaming those files / putting them in the proper folders and I think you'll get much better results.
