Can anyone tell me here that how to modify the search block at main page so that the advanced search form can apear in that block.

Just add url to search.php in your template

Hi zoullou,
The advanced search link is already there in search block. I just wants to display advanced search form as a block in place of simple search block at the top page.
i.e search block can have the following fields.
Search
Keyword(s)
Type All (AND) Any (OR) Exact Match
Search in Classifieds
Seach Rule Keywords shorter than 3 characters will be ignored

You will have to modify modules/system/blocks/system_blocks.php (or something along those lines) to modify the search block. You can use the search.php to get the code needed for the advanced search.

Thats really sad that no-one is helping out any new user of this great CMS. It forcing me to choose any other CMS. Thanks mates for joking here instead doing any serious works. Good bye from XOOPS FOREVER!

Did you even try following his advice? Or were you waiting for someone to custom write a hack for you because it was "urgent". I'm sorry, but if you aren't willing to try helping yourself, then you will never be happy with volunteer support.

Anyway, I wish you good luck in the future. Hopefully you find a free CMS that caters to your every whim.
