{X_SITEURL} can be manually typed in custom blocks as well as it is automatically given a value when sending an email/PM through the XOOPS mailing system.

I confirm. No need to add anything with multiMenu. It does accept teh relative links very well.

Do you have to put it that way in your theme.html?
Cant you use a relative path?
