I noticed that when doing an Advance Search in NEWBB2 RC2 it also displayes the Private Forums as part of the search selection. In the config I've set this to WebMaster only. How can this be removed.

When changing the posts viewed from "From Last 100 Days" to anything else, I get the following error:
Quote:

An Error Occured
SELECT t.*, u.name, u.uname,u2.name as last_post_name, u2.uname as last_poster, p.post_time as last_post_time, p.poster_name as last_poster_name, p.icon FROM xoops_bb_topics t LEFT JOIN xoops_users u ON u.uid = t.topic_poster LEFT JOIN xoops_bb_posts p ON p.post_id = t.topic_last_post_id LEFT JOIN xoops_users u2 ON u2.uid = p.uid WHERE (p.post_time > 1011100665 OR t.topic_sticky=1) AND t.forum_id = AND t.approved = 1 AND p.approved = 1 ORDER BY topic_sticky DESC, p.post_time DESC

At the same time how can I change the setting to default to "From The Beginning"?

which version are you using?
I can not re-produce the non-last-100-days error.

the 'search' returns results based on the permissions of the submitter.
Check the difference with webmaster account and annoymous account.

BTW: can 'access' the forum (no access means you can not enter the forum hence you can not see the topic titles) is different from can 'view' topics (even can not 'view' you still can see the titles).

Thanks vanchan I got that working.

But I still have permission issues. I've set for each forum the following:
Resized Image

and

Resized Image

When logged in as Webmaster to the forum I get the error I mentioned in the first post and when I login as a guest I get
Quote:
You don't have the right to access this forum.

Is there something that I'm not setting?

I'm using RC2 that was downloaded from xoops.

I think I solved it. I deleted the templates then generated them again. I wasn’t too sure if by deleting them would actually 'delete' them.

Automatic regeneration using structural theme+templates files available into ROOT/themes + ROOT/modules/MODULE's NAME/templates.

That's why if you modify anything into one of those directories you can't see the result unless you delete previous version from ROOT/templates_c, which is a kind of theme+templates cache.
