When I click to view results of my poll it always opens at the bottom of my front page. How do I stop it doing this. This is my site so you can see what I mean My site

Thanks

i'm new too, but maybe i can help...

it seems that your main content always shows up at the top of the page. check the settings of that content block and see if you can make it show up only on the 'top page' then the polls should show up as the only content on the polls page.

ah! yes if you added it into the html directly then XOOPS is spitting out the poll code below it try removing the content from the actual code and try making it an 'article' or something, that way it only shows up where you want it to and you don't have to hack the code

Yep - that would be it. All you have to do with the Polls module is set the Polls block properties (by clicking the edit link in System Admin\Blocks) to 'Block Type - Side Block Right' (or left) visible in 'All Pages' (so that the Poll selection is always visible throughout the site) and give it a weight value to determine where in your left or right column it shows up. Then, when you click results, XOOPS should automatically display it in your main central column until you navigate elsewhere in the site.

9 times out of ten, with Xoops, you can achieve a result with out touching code. I learnt that the hard way too! There's often a configuration setting somewhere

Good luck.

yes and as for your main page text, put it in a custom block and set its position to center center. then make it only visible on the 'top page' this should make it all better

Thanks for that..lol..didnt realise it was that easy to add to front page, took me ages!!!

I have a problem in that the outline is broken, or should it look like that?

Also, any idea on now that I have added forums to my left hand list I can put it higher up that list?

use the 'weight' text box to do this. if it says 0 that means its on top, put 1 in the next one, 2... so on and so forth. if they all say 0 then its up to the database as to who goes first, and nobody knows that!

i'll check out your site again

wow! your site is looking great!
