newBB RC2 wont show

Just a quick one, I have upgraded to newBB RC2 and all went very well (good work guys ) but I can not view any part of the forums using the anonymous settings not view the recent topics section on my homepage. Once logged on as a registered user everything is as it should be.

I have tried changing all the settings in the admin side to allow anonymous users to be able to view all blocks but I am now running out of ideas.

Can anybody help???

Have you gone in and set the permissions on each and every forum or just the catergorys you need to also set permissions on each individual forum also.

Nice one mate, i just got a little confused over what settings to use as i do not want anonymous users to be able to post so i was a little hesitant in changing many settings.

I, as well, am a little fuzzy on the new permissioning system. Exactly what does the global access control, versus the forum permissions. When you set the permissions for the various user groups on each forum, does the Can Edit and Can Delete mean they can edit only their own posts or other posts as well?

I would imagine it only allows you to edit/delete your own, but I just want to make sure...

Global access overrides the individual permissions. If a user doesn't have global access, he can't access the forum at all, and the individual permission settings are irrelevant.

Can Edit and Can Delete apply to editing or deleting one's own posts.
