Could anyone point me in the right direction or tell me how to Quote:
Newbb 2.0 RC1 you need to Run the Updater



I am running newbb 1

have answere my own question sorry. point browse to
http://mydomain.info/modules/newbb/update/newbb1_to_newbb2.php

Stiil cant get it going but thats wht I have a test site I suppose

Just to make sure you did it right, you put "/modules/newbb/update/newbb1_to_newbb2.php" after your own domain name right?

Note to XOOPS admins: maybe you should remove the upgrade scripts from this site after the upgrade?

the upgrade script only change database at the first time.
so run it again never change db

True but I would remove the upgrade directory anyway. Then again it might be fun seeing all the attempts in the server log. I've found some interesting URLs in my logs. ...some people's kids....

Thanks for response, Yes I did. Actually entered
http://stayingintouch.info/modules/newbb/update/newbb1_to_newbb2.php

Got all the green lights and everything looked like it would work, but it doesnt.
Actually did two fresh installations of xoops, created some forums ane went through the steps, but still not getting it right

One fault I get is no desriptions in the left column for prefs.

But as I said, I have a test site so I can trial and error and learn
