I was wondering if there was anyway to get the newbb forums to display a small sample of the main topic on the forum page.
An example would be http://www.slashdot.org
It would seem that you'd get more readership if people could see a little piece of the artcle before pulling up the new page.

The NewBB2 currently provides API of "getForumList" for other modules to link with NewBB2, both news and wfsection modules have implemented this feature.

It's not hard to build a more comprehensive NewBBAPI class by which you can simply add your conent to newbb by:
$NewBBLink =NewBBAPI::addPost($NewBBForum,$YourTitle,$YourAuthor,$YourContent,$YourTrackback);
