Hey everyone, I was looking on Mambo CMS's website and found this: http://forum.mamboserver.com/showthread.php?t=11375 Has anyone tried this with a XOOPS installation? If yes, can you post the results (the load averages), the server my site is running on doesn't let me access the load averages reports.

Thanks.

XOOPS.org ranks 7350 something on alexa.com, has over 8000 daily unique visitors, about 1.5 GB data transfer per day, and we don't have (m)any problems. Load averages vary, depending on server setup, apache/mysql versions, caching, gzip compression, php accellerators, etc. etc. etc.

also - one of the simpliest ways to reduce load is to reduce the # of sql queries in a given page. If you are using modules that query the db frequently the less your site will scale.

I believe that caching will help alot, even if the query's are high. Still, best to develop with an with an eye to less queries.
