Probleme with home page url

Hello,

I am using XOOPS 2.07 and i have installed threw Admin/Preference the News Modules on the Welcome page, but now the url of my welcome page is http://www.smtechnologie.com/modules/news/ and i would like to have it like before http://www.smtechnologie.com .

Does someone know how to do this. I 've tried trew the htaccess file, but doesn't seem to work, and i saw this subject : https://xoops.org/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?topic_id=9587&forum=7#forumpost38809 but doesen't seem to work for me.

Please i need help.

Go to System Admin>Preferences>General Setting and select "none" for your module startup on site entry.

You can also use one of the module's block and/or spotlight

Hi

I don't think you understood the question, i just want the url to be http://www.smtechnologie.com , and i want to keep my news modules on the start page.

So if i applied what both of you told me, i will lose my news modules on the start page, and i don't want to.

I just want the url to be changed by my domain name for the start page.

I understand the question perfectly. You can't use a module for your startpage without affecting your URL. You can howver use blocks. Remove the module from your start page. Then use the Spotlight module for recent news, or use the recent news block. It can be done, I've done it.
