A weird one this...

Not sure if one exists already (not found one) but I'd like a module that enables users to do a search about a particular file extension along with a description of the file extension they have found. For example '*.pdf - Adobe Acrobat File', etc. I'd also likle this database to allow additions when new extensions are found\discovered\created.

I notice that the WF Downloads module has a feature to allow or refuse certain file types in its MIMETYPE database. I wonder if there is any way of incorporating that (or similar element of Xoops) to create a module along the ways described?

Any ideas?

Hi,

My answer is completly off topic but if your webserver is IIS, you can use Index Server, documents are automatically indexed. The only problem is that for this moment there's no module to use Index server.....

Bye,
