@wishcraft sounds very interesting, hope he'll be willing to share :)

The mainthing is to be able to communicate messenger style, and of course Facebook style is prefered as it integrates very nicely with design, maybe even as a part of the core / theme.

I tried porting the simple version of ajaxim but I dont have the skills to make it work properly.

but also someone was maiking some work any progress ?

Yes, I noticed that too in Lord_Venom's article, but judging by the screenshots it may not be what I'm looking for. It would be nice to see a demo of it.

I'm having some progress with a module...

I have succesfull implimented the jquery version into a blok.. So far this is where I am.

Jquery part.
----------------
1) chat working.
2) updates async every 1 second.
3) transparent css styling

Block
--------
1) Shows all online members, press name to open chat window
2) Update the block every 1 minute to show users online.

What I still need is to create a few language defines, make comment, group/block defines.

Hopefully tomorrow it'll be ready for an alpha release.

You can test it now (you'll have to register) at culex.dk

Online block will show at right :)

I receive the same answer that jimmyx...

Question : is it n exclusive chat between one user and one other user, or can we have public "chatroom" will all members ?

I'm really interesting by this public area, and less by the one to one

Hmmmm seems like I am having problems with my host, looking into this and hopefully it will work soon again with registration

@ jimmyx, moss, mariane, mazarin & someone I have manuelly accepted your request so you should be able to log in now :)

@someone, great news, I wasnt sure if any was still doing something with this module so I got a little into it.

guys i found a module like facebook of elgg which is similar to facebook i have seen this in http://www.jntustudents.com/ourkut
