Why am I being redirected here error?

Hi all,

I have just upgraded from 2.0.9 to 2.2.3a Final and everything has worked fine for a few days.

I logged onto my site today and now I get this message:

Why am I being redirected here?

fruitybids.com site security has detected that your computer has a firewall setting that is preventing you from registering on the site. We use 'Referrer-checking' know as HTTP_REFERER which makes sure that all contents posted are from authorised users only. Your firewall settings are blocking this information, so this will prevent you from registering properly if you try and proceed.....

What can I do?

First turn off /disable any other protection or monitoring programmes such as:

- WebWasher Standard Filter/URL Filter
- advert. blocking software
- Pop-up blockers


I don't understand.. I have no webwasher, url filters, advert blocking software or pop up blockers running. Not even installed on my machine and as I have said, this was working fine since the upgrade, just started today.

http_referrer error

Weird that it is something new after the upgrade was OK for a few days.....

Cache?

Think happens to me when I have Norton Security activated, turn it off and it's fine

No luck and I have tried everything... Same thing happens on mac/win firefox and IE.... So I don't think it's an error on the user side. It just started a few days ago, way after I upgraded xoops.

When I get the redirect error I can just click on home and everything is fine. Except for this one other thing.

Which may or may not have anything to do with this. My xcgallery has started acting strange... Thumbnails show up but when you click them to see the pic it either goes to a blank page or says "you don't have access rights to this area" Same thing on any of my admin or user accounts. Prior to the redirect problem the gallery worked perfectly...

wished it was that easy for be Bejay, I have no firewall, nortins, security.. nothing!.. not a suasage is installed, just my dial up and my IE6.. and as I said, all was great for a few days.

The same thing happended to me after I posted my original post on this issue. my left-side scrollers chucked itself all over the centre/centre block of my main page!..

I think I may be down grading later to see if that works?
I also have no messages when I have the de-bug turned on in general options either.

maybe it's a xcgallery issue? I'm going to try and temp remove that module and see what happens.

Me too. REALLY strange.

I have nothing, literally nothing in the way of security or firewall installed. I even turned off XP's firewall.

Anyone know anything?
