I don't know if this is the case for you but, when I have gotten this error, it was due to file permissions. I am on a Linux server so, I chmod my PHP files to 644 and that ususally gets me back in business.

I have been with Site5 since June of last year and have found them to be very affordable, customer-focused and very responsive to my technical concerns.

One good example of this is that I purchased a Multisite package with them (12 gigs space, 150 Gigs/month transfer for $19.95/month). Well, they began offering a new package with 27 gigs space, 750 Gigs/month transfer for $16.95. I emailed them late Thursday requesting that they upgrade my account. By Friday afteroon, it was changed and I received a credit back on my account.

So, for anyone interested, I can recommend this host. Also, right now, they are offering a SuperHosting extreme package (11 Gigs space, 400 Gigs transfer/month, unlimited DB's, Fantastico, etc) for $7.77/month.

Also, they are the first host I have seen offering Ruby on Rails hosting.

You can compare their plans at:

You miss all, you can't even imagine, that is OpenSource Developments and that is Cooperation (real, not this ugly form show last times on xoops.org) - "Everybody have voice". And cticits is more important than infinitive useless "Thank you... thank you..." XOOPS Mithrandir is in the state of the stagnation, even Scalpa confirm what X2.2 is the branch of evolution without the future.
Devs forgot about own creature and play in another games, Team is Big Myth... XOOPS Mithrandir die now, long live real XOOPS from onokazu

Actually, you seem to represent the first half of your name...lazy. People who sit back and criticize, yet do nothing themselves, are useless. Simply put, they are either too lazy, afraid or incompetent to do things for themselves (much less others) and, when challenged, try to move the focus from themselves.

So, is this you?

If not, will you show us the progress of the CMS you're developing? Or, if that's too hard, show us the code you've created to address the shortcomings in XOOPS that you seem to think abound.

Otherwise, we of the "infinite thank-you's" are proven more useful than your ilk because we at least acknowledge the efforts of others and encourage them to continue.

Perhaps I'm missing something but, if you can find one or two features that are deal-breakers for you then, maybe, you look to another system. It seems relatively simple to me. I drive the type of car I drive, use the type of soap I use, and eat the type of food I eat based on what I prefer. I don't see how bashing someone else's work make your point (more) valid. I would contend that you (or any other person bashing Xoops) actually take a crack at creating your own CMS and come back in 6 months and see if your attitude is the same. Plus, the last time I checked, most people are not paying for the use of this CMS so, in essence, you receive the fruits of others' labor for free.

So, my suggestion would be that, if you want a feature, be willing to put up some cash or sweat-equity to make it happen.

just my $0.02.

bad news...none of my other modules were caching, either.

Great news! After updating to 2.2.3, caching is working again. Many thanks to the devs.

Now...if I can get autologin to work...

After 2.2 Upgrade -- No Caching for AMS

Perhaps I am just missing something but, after moving from 2.13 to 2.2.2, there seems to be no more caching for articles generated through AMS 2.41.

-Permissions on the cache folder are correct
-Caching is set in preferences (30 min)

Prior to 2.2.2 upgrade, my cache folder was over 100 megs and now it is only caching the system_rss file, the newbb_rss file, and the profilesfields.tmp file.

Anyone know why this could be happening?

Thanks in advance for your help.

In case anyone read this previously, I wanted to give an update. I would suggest avoiding WhizHost (www.whizhost.com). Over the last 8 months, their service has gone down considerably. My site was inaccesible for intvervals of over one hour and occurring several times during the course of a week. I think they might be overselling but, of course, I can't prove this. I did see however, that the BBB of Florida listed them as unsatisfactory. The sad part is that, for the first 1.5 years I used them, they were a good value.

Needless to say, I moved my site to a new host, Fuitadnet (www.fuitadnet.com), and they are much better (reseller account - 5 Gigs space, 60 GB transfer/month and, best of all, they offer Fantastico, which is automated installer that, among other things, can set up a CMS -- XOOPS is an option -- without you having to download a copy and upload to your server). Needless to say, I'm much happier now.
