Re: INSERT Error in PDdownloads

OK, that's a clear answer

I decided to make a clean Xoops install with the latest Xoops version (2.5).
But while building my new site, I want to keep my old website running.

Question:
Is it possible to install the new Xoops-sye in (for instance) /www/cms/
(old site is in www) and when it's finished remove the old site and move the new site to cms/ ?
I will use a new database for the new site.

Re: INSERT Error in PDdownloads

I know I'll have to update Xoops. I'm going to build my website from scratch again.
But this is a school website and I want to wait untill a new schoolyear starts.

Isn't there a work around or quick fix to make it work?
Isn't there anythink I can try?
I really need the downloads module to work.

INSERT Error in PDdownloads

Hi,

I am useing Xoops 2.3.3b
Last week my Host updated their SQL version (not sure to which one ...)
Since the update I can't upload any Files anymore with the PDdownloads module (1.2). Before the update it worked fine!

I figured out that the error (I believe) is due to this code in PDdownloads/admin/category.php :

(line 283)

{$sql = $sql = "INSERT INTO " . $xoopsDB -> prefix("PDdownloads{$mydirnumber}_cat") . "
( pid, title, imgurl, description, nohtml, nosmiley,
noxcodes, noimages, nobreak, weight, spotlighttop, spotlighthis) VALUES
( $pid, '$title', '$imgurl', '$description', '$nohtml', '$nosmiley',
'$noxcodes', '$noimages', '$nobreak', '$weight', $spotlighttop, $spotlighthis)";
$result = $xoopsDB -> query($sql);
$error = _AM_PDD_DBERROR . ": <br /><br />" . $sql;

Any suggestions how to solve this issue?

Update to 5.1a

I want to update my old XOOPS 2.3.3b website to the latest 2.5.1a version.
How and what's the safest way to do this?

Re: Avatars dont show in Admin?

I uploaded then by the regular way: through the image manager into the avatars location.

They show up in User-side but not in admin-side.

Editing Ranks does not work

While I was editing a rank I noticed that the rank wasn't changed, but duplicated. Others with the same problem?

Avatars dont show in Admin?

I just uploaded a few avatars on my 2.5 xoops site and I noticed they don't show in the list on the Admin side?

Re: mainfile.php permission

Hmmm, I already changed it. I used the FileManager in my hosts CPanel. Permission is set to 444 now.
Weird though, that I couldn't set it to 444 using Dreamweaver and WS_FTP_Pro.
No idea why ....

mainfile.php permission

After updating from x 2.4 --> 2.5 I keep getting a warning that my mainfile.php is writeable by the server.

When I change the permission to 444, it is automacally set back to 644 ! How can I change the permission?
