Re: Protector is overly Protective...

Sorry for not getting back sooner...

Protector is broken...

I cannot get to any of the config screens - Protect Center, Security Advisor and Prefix Manager.

Press any of them and I get this:

This page isn’t working
www.corvetteforum.guru is currently unable to handle this request.
HTTP ERROR 500

I cleared cache... did database maintenance and even cleared the sessions logs... but nada.

I even uninstalled and reinstalled Protector with zero changes. I am at my wits end with this thing.

Protector is overly Protective...

Protector 3.51 RC (10/07/2011)
Xoops 2.5.7.1
PHP 5.4.45

I started having a problem at work where I couldn't post... got some message about forum not selected.

Well, I logged off, and found that the Protector didn't like my domain.

Ok, come home, try to fix Protector and the stupid module doesn't run! I can't run any of the configuration routines... Protect Center, Security Advisor and Prefix Manager simply present a blank screen.

What do I do to fix this?

Thanks!

Re: XOOPS 2.5.7 Final Release Issues

I am about ready to spit nails.

I have 2.5.6, so I use the version 2.5.6 to 2.5.7 (figure I would do this first, then run the update for .1).

I am so far stuck at the database option. Since I already have a database (duh, upgrade?), I don't need a new one, but it can't create one, cause one is already there, and I can't move forward.

Any help would be appreciated.

Re: PM button not working on 2.5.6 after upgrade

sorry for the delay...

Yea... mainfile... first one I touched. Not a link that doesn't belong.

Most strange.

Unless there is another mainfile floating in the ether... I am at a loss.

PM button not working on 2.5.6 after upgrade

In the PM module, on the forums, there is the PM button, and it is directing to the URL and lots of other stuff. Somehow, the original URL is still embedded in that command. How is that? I can't find it anywhere!

My current url is corvetteforum.guru, however, the embedded link is showing corvette-guru.com, an old URL from 3 or 4 years ago.

Here is the link:

http://www.corvette-guru.com/pmlite.php?send2=1&to_userid=5144

The link in there should be corvetteforum.guru. I have not found where that old URL exists anywhere... on the db, in the code... if it's there, it's hiding really good. :)

Thanks!

Re: Site Transfer Questions

Sorry I have been gone... real busy!

Thank you all for your assistance! The site is back up and running and running just fine!

It was the missing db tables... reloaded, all is great!

I have one last odd question:

In the PM module, on the forums, there is the PM button, and it is directing to the URL and lots of other stuff. Somehow, the original URL is still embedded in that command. How is that? I can't find it anywhere!

Lesson #2... screw the Private messages... I don't need 1.5 million of those suckers floating around. So there.

Re: Site Transfer Questions

Sometimes helps to be awake and pay attention to little details...

apparently, 10 tables did not survive the transfer.

Please hand me my sign.
