I received below e-mail. I was thinking someone from XOOPS group hacked my website and sent all those spam e-mails not necessarily JAVesey and I also said this to him in my pm. What would you all have thought after this message? Also JAVesey and many others answered my many questions here, I did not accuse of anybody of anything. Please see below msg and after write your comments of what I posted here. You're just blaming me for my post without knowing anything about me... I run a cancer support website not because I get something (like money or somethingelse) out of it, it's because I'm a cancer patient myself for more than 3 years. This is my way of helping other patients like me and support them. You don't have to help me, ok. I don't know much about these things, that's ok too. I accused somebody, yes but I did not give names. I simply thought you should all know. JAVesey himself said "I think you're pointing me". I still do not say that he did it, I also suspect Turks too like some of you said. But that hacker is definitely from XOOPS. Right now I think admins of xoops.org should think abt this, maybe not help me but help others...

here is the e-mail:

E-mail: no_one@hotmail.com
Message

you will never prove it was anyone from xoops. and you will never prove it was me. XOOPS is your friend ha ha

I'm not 100% sure. As I said in the subject line and in my message I guessed it was somebody from here and as JAVesey wrote he has all the information since I sent him my mainfile.php with all the information in it by mistake... You make up your mind. I do not lie, this thing happened and you have all the facts. I'm not saying he did it, but I am giving you the facts.

I did not give names. Of course everyone has to have a chance to defend themselves...

I don't know what to say except that I'm so sorry... I run a cancer support website. All the e-mail address has been ripped and apprx 15000 spam e-mail has been sent from my website, server company locked down my webspace, they just gave me an access today and all the patients went crazy, for some people this is the only place that they can talk...

I really don't understand the mentality of these people... I have strong guess abt the person who did it and I believe he's a moderator here

Hi,

thank you for your answer. I did what you say on the link. It's for the name field and it's hidden, I tried to change the name but it did not quite work. What I need is a field where people can write the reason to become a member of my website (like the extra information field) and I don't want it to be hidden, I want other members to be able to see it.

Quick reply seems just what you need. There is nothing but just the text area and submit button...

Hi,

I created a field in the registration form for my website and I would like this field to be shown on the "view account" page and the problem is I don't know how to do that.

This is the field; $reg_form->addElement(new XoopsFormTextarea(_Üye_olma_nedeni, "user_whyreg","Lütfen üye olma nedeninizi yazýn ve sitede de kendinizi tanýtýn", 5, 50, $myts->htmlSpecialChars($user_whyreg)), true);

I use XOOPS 2.0.17

Can someone tell me how do I make this field appear on the view account screen?

Hi

There is a new member on my website who complained that he can't see the "browse" when he wants to upload his own avatar. I requested his password and signed in as him and tried a few things; like posting some messages to increase his msg count but while I was doing that I saw another problem; when I post a message it says "limited" and the message doesn't go thru. I don't know what this is about. Is this normal for a new member?

why there is no browse button and why he can't post messages?

I use cbb 3.08 and XOOPS 2.0.17

thanks
