Hello, everyone,

I just developed a simple module for Xoops2, but I didn't use smarty template. Now I wanna integrate XOOPS notification and comments function into this module, could it be possible? Or I must use template to include files like

<{include file='db:system_notification_select.html'}>
<{include
file="db:system_comments_thread.html"}>
<{include
file='db:system_notification_select.html'}>

Thanks in advance!

Hello,

I'm developing a module which implemented XOOPS notification system. This module's database table structure is very like mylinks module. I have question about it now:

For example, I have a main category -- Restaurant, under which there are 3 sub-categories, -- Fast food, Pizza, and Seafood, like this :

Restaurant
-- Fast food
-- Pizza
-- Seafood

I found if user subscribed notification from Restaurant, then only notifications of new links under Restaurant will be sent out, but what I want is if there is any new links under Restaurant or it's sub-categories, like pizza and seafood, system could send out a notification.

Anyone could help me explaining this, thanks in advance!

Hello, everyone,

I'm a newbie for xoops. After install it, I found there are two folders under root, one is "cache", the other one "template_c". from the name, I can tell the first should save cached files, the second on should store compiled file, but is there any difference between these two kind of files? What are their purpose? Hope get your helps,

non-Smarty modules also could be cached in XOOPS2?

Today, I installed 3 xoops1 non-Smarty modules in XOOPS2, but I found they also could be cached, so it doesn't matter for caching if I don't use Smarty? A little confused...
