i just cant figure out how to pass values used in the template file to php code i have in the same file, for ex:
<{assign var="passback" value=$link.title_s}>

<{
php}>
echo
$passback;
</
php}>

that echoes nothing, if i use
<{$passback}>

it prints out, but i need the value in the php code.

please help me, i cant figure it out

thanks for replie.
Well those solutions could work, atleast for me, but i think there will be sort of a advertise sellers for the site, and i want to make it easy for them, and i dont want to give them access to blocks or the actual posts.

The standard bannermodule in XOOPS could be enough if it had like a dropdown list with all news,blogs,articles and a add button besides it. Or if there could be a addon that reads all ads thats in the XOOPS original bannersystem and also reads all news, blogs and so on.
Where you could specifie i want this add to show up on this page, and this page, and this page..

On a XOOPS site i took over administration of i found a disabled module called cjaycontent in wich some scriptciddies was able to upload files to the server even it was disabled. had to delete the modulefolder

The file they uploaded to /tmp edited and added a ifame on every html and php file that had chmdod 777 or was owned by nobody on the whole server so yea, that wasted some time for us. think it was maybe 30 sites affected that time

So if you have cjaycontent or other module with uploading stuff, try if you can reach the uploading files without being logged in.
