Hi All,

I have created a nice set of custom pages using mas_top that will query my db for stuff.

I need to build a page that contains a mixture of my own custom data froma db and also a section from the AMS Article module.

The idea is I have built a website for our rugby team. I create apage for each team. On that page it contains info about the team, contacts and fixtures. This is working fine. I now need to embed a list of articles that are posted under the AMS Articles module, rleevant for this team.

I have worked out how to find the topic id for a team based on my set up , but I would really like to just include the module block that displays articles inside my page.

Any ideas how to do this?

seehttp://www.sutton.asterisk.myzen.co.uk/newsite/modules/mastop_publish/?tac=1st_XV - At the bottom of the page is where I need to show the atrivles listed on:

http://www.sutton.asterisk.myzen.co.uk/newsite/modules/AMS/index.php?storytopic=7&storynum=5&submit=Go%21

This would be a tremendous fix if any could show me?

Steve

I forgot to add, you have to go to the admin menu to add content in Mas_top unfortunately.

A bit more on the fixtures page:

I created a custom PHP file that does the following:

Lookup all Team IDs in the db.
Build a combo from the ids.
Select all fixtures from the DB and render them , hiding all except the selected team's fixtures. That is all java script that you can pinch from the site's source code if you like.

Hi,

The fixtures page is a Mastop custom page using some php include that I wrote that will query a table in my DB.

Once I worked out how to add the custom PHP the rest was quite easy.
Let me know if you need any further assistance with this, it took me quite a while to get this working properly - happy to help where I can

mastop publish questions

Hi,

Using mastop (which is fantastic!), to display custom data pulled from our existing web database.

I have a php page that displays content pulled from two separate tables, and I need to insert a section from the news module in between them..

Something like:
<center block>
[content from table 1]

[news module section]

[content from table 2]
</center block>

Can any one point me to a way to do this?

Second question, Mastop publish lets you clone blocks. I need to create a block that allows me to insert one of my mastop content pages, but I cannot seem to work out how to do this, I clone a block (right block for related entries) and it is purely a complete copy of the related entries block, I have found no way to edit what goes in there.. Why would I want two related entries blocks?

Any help would be greatly appreciated, I have spent a lot of time trying to get this right and am now starting to lose my patince with it..

Here is the new site:http://www.suttonrugby.co.uk/newsite which is based on the old sitehttp://www.suttonrugby.co.uk

Hi,

After numerous posts here probably getting right on people's nerves, I finally decided to make a go of it with Mastop.

It looks like I can do most of what I need with the html/php page adding into content, but what I need to do now is publish some content that is created using an uploaded php into a custom block on the right.

I have cloned one fo the mastop blocks and now it shows an empty template. Now I need to know how to populate it with a specific piece of mastop content..

Any help on thins one?

Please some one point me to a multi level menu that I can use within XOOPS.

I need to do the following:

Level1
|+Level 2
| |+Level 3
|+Level 2
|+Level 3

And maybe some more levels.
I tried iMenu which cannot do it, nor can multiMenu. The content module has an option to do this but I have to create dummy pagewrappers in order to do so...

This is getting on my nerves tryignt o find one, it is one fo the most basic website features..

Oh, and I need to use a flyout style menu also..

Thanks in advance

Hi,

I have a customized PAgeworks page displaying form data created in Formulize.

What I need to do is insert a great big chunk of NEWs from the news module in the middle.

Assuming I have names a news hierarchy to match my form names, I'd like to be able to pull in the news relevant to that page.

I assume this is not easy to do.. Could use a little help here,

Steve

Guys,

Thanks to all for your replies.
The tabbed page does look quite good, I think I may adopt that for another part of my site. Great work on that!

I am currently looking at Formlize and Pageworks as it looks like it may give me the data access I need quickly.

I will post back with updates so you can all see what a hatchet job I have made of a fantastic toolkit!

Cheers,

Steve

Hi,

I'll take a look and see what I can do with it.
This is all a bit new to me and sometimes gets a bit messy!

I am sure I will get there in the end.

Steve
