Web Show

Got A few questions about web show module - I would ask the maker but he seems not to respond ever and the tutorials are not in full detail


Does anyone else use webshow module?

Have you tried adding flash .swf games? IF so how?

Everytime I get to that point it just stops and replays the first 10 frames then it's done -

The games I am trying to add are hosted on my site --

I am usuing a good player default which has it all centerd but has no functions - opens another window after that.

The only thing I could get this web show to do is YouTUBE Videos since the tutorial was "Updated" with better information the other tutorials are not really NOOB friendly - not quiet sure where to go for support - but thought i would ask - If you arn't using webshow and have flash files such as YOUTUBE and .SWF Games on your site with a different module I would like to try it out - any suggestions?

Is it possible?

Is it possible to change the color of the links (with out the a {} css) on the main menu?

I would like to see Link 3 stand out in color so users can read it better from the other links..

Yea I know it does.. I am trying to take something like a cut and paste rss script generator and it wont accept the .php i need it in .xml format is there any way around this?

pretty much I am a noob and I know this is a noob question but I would like everything that I post that does show up in backend.php also show up in a rss.xml file i know it's weird but Something I would like to do is pretty much get the .xml to update every time my backend.php does

if this is confusing im sorry but would like any suggestions on this thanks.

I use dreamweaver to edit all my files if you don't have that resource I guess cloning would be easist since you can see what's in the template..

Dreamweaver works great not sure if they have any other editors out there that you can use / but even if you want to you can go old school and use notepad..

Make a back up of the current files ../modules/system/templates

and make another duplication of them some where else so that way you have a back up and just work from note pad and upload your files and refresh check changes if no go CTRL+Z works great but if you can't go back that far then you will need to restore from back-up it's a long process but we all have been there. :) Hope it helps.

All thgough it sounds like you tried what you could and even though you said you didn't make any changes I suppose with out any one else making changes on it I don't think it can go from working to broken.. but I would re-track my steps and look to see if you modified any code in the past few days - you said you replaced some files with the org.

But I know from experience and I'm not pro at this stuff but even if you change the "Language files" with something that it does not like you will get blank pages.. Check all coding even posts its in the files them selves and not in your DB i believe so check your templates and .php files. Hope this helps..

RSS Question

This is probably a easy question so I will help you understand what I am looking for..

Is there a way to change www.myxoopssite.com/backend.php to backend.xml? I'm not really sure how this RSS works but I'm not sure on anything

Would it be as easy as making a backend.xml with the same contents of backend.php?

Not sure how it pulls my info though..

something like rss2html won't read the backend.php but will .xml files.. Thanks for any feedback.

Do you have a backup of the modules? OHave you installed anything recently..

I see the forums being your index but that doesn't help us see what the problem is / Even though it's not showing up / do you have any coding in a certain block you might want to check?

Nice that worked / but I'm wondering if everything else I am using is outdated / since I got the wf-downloads from the module respitory I know it's closed due to a new release of XOOPS / but is XOOPS 2.0.16 the latest version? Thank you for your help..
