Hi

Thanks for a quick response.

There are no error message displayed because, as far as php is concerned, there is no error. It's just calling a page that doesn't happen to exist. It happens in xcgal too incidentally.

The cache directory was set to 755. I've changed it to 777 but there's no change.

You mentioned 2 path definitions. I can only see one in mainfile.php. Where will I find the other . . . or is that the problem???

As this isn't yet a live site and I've only spent a couple of hours on it so far, I'm tempted to start again if I can't resolve it.

Thanks again.

Xoops Path in Admin Area

I have successfully installed a new XOOPS site and can access all areas, including admin, ok. However in some areas, if I want to make an admin change, say add a new category to a forum, I get a 404 because the full XOOPS path isn't included in the target page.

For example, using ForumEx (newbbex), when I try to add a category it loads a page

which doesn't include the full path. In this instance it should read

This happens in other modules too.

I have checked mainfile.php and the XOOPS path is correct.

Is there anywhere else I should check or something I have set up incorrectly?

Thanks for that MSDANA

All is now well!

I did carry out a search on "date" and "format" but that FAQ didn't show up. Hmmmm.....

Thanks again

I've managed this before but I have mislaid my change notes!

The date throughout the site is formatted as yyyy/mm/dd and I want d MMM yyyy i.e. currently I get 2007/03/21 and I want 21 March 2007.

Where is this change made? I've hunted throughout the Admin area and nothing works and I've also opened any number of language/admin php files.

As always, all help gratefully received.

Thanks

I've tried to register on www.hyperbod.net to raise this but they seem to be refusing new registrations.

I want to be able to allow ALL users to access the Profiles but to restrict profile submission to one group (not "Registered" group).

As it stands Profile 0.91b gives submission rights to all registered members.

Running XOOPS 2.0.16, PHP 4.4.4

All help gratefully received.

Hi

I have now found the XOOPS system Comments area where xcgal comments can be moderated.

I was looking within the xcgal module config and didn't think of looking in the system area.

Duh!

Thanks anyway.

Hi . .

I am running xcgal 2.03 using PHP 4 and XOOPS 2.0.16.

I have set "Comment Rules" in xcgal Preferences to "All Comments Need to be Approved . . . ".

The trouble is, as far as I can see, I (as admin) have no way of knowing when a comment is awaiting approval.

The only way I can find, is for me to browse ALL pictures to see if they have a comment and then review any pending comments.

Surely there is a way to bring pending comments to my notice. Am I missing something obvious here?

As always, I'm grateful for any help.

Colin

Now sorted! I have removed line 26 in /templates/xcgal_header.html.

Thanks anyway!

Hi

I have installed xcGall and want to be able to allow registered users to upload pictures. However, when the permissions are set, users who are allowed to upload also have the facility to batch upload.

In reality they wouldn't be able to do this as they wouldn't have access to my server but I need to a)disable this function (apart from within the admin area) and b) to supress the menu item on the albums view.

All help gratefully received.

User Permissions - AMS 2.41

I am working on a site using AMS 2.41 and want to give users the ability to edit/delete their own submissions. Seems I can limit it to W/Master or to a whole group (anyone can edit anyone's submission).

I can't believe this function isn't available so it must be me!

Any ideas?
