OK I'll post here since no one is helping me in the NEWBIE part. Here is what im looking for.
I have news mod 1.44 and XOOPS 2.0.15
I want to be able to post any news with the topic and have it show up on the index page
i dont want the tittle with links
i have set the permissions for annon users to view everything
i have set the cache to 30 secs
i have classic for the news not topic
the webpage ishttp://www,downpour-online.com/xoops

I have also been using postnuke for about 2 years now and im fairly familar with how mods work...cept XOOPS ...

I would like my page to look more like my postnuke page

thats what im wanting to know
what freaking news block can i post news in and it post the whole freaking story without me having to go into blocks and change the #OOPS# story on it?
i have the recent news block up
and top news
hell earlier that was the same story

ok it says all the topics are vis. to anon users
but still only shows 2 stories and a link to others (GAY!)
i think this is too much stuff for a freaking news article
i just was to be able to post news with a topic to the main page of my dang site
why do i have to change permissions and check this parameter?
someone tell me something usefull

oh im having so much trouble with this XOOPS thing
i downloaded the news module...which seems to work great
i made topics and set my permissions
now why can i only have 2 storys on the main page?
how do i add more stories?
is there any news mod that just auto-posts your stories on the main page without having to screw with the blocks?
switching from postnuke has been alot harder then i had expected.

ive never had a CMS i couldnt figure out
til now
ive been using postnuke, and i have to say, its more user friendly then xoops
i cant figure out how to post news
and have it show up on the front page
how gay is that?
i post news and it doesnt show up anywhere except the news page...i want the news on the front page
im using the news mod cuz i was told it was the best
i have made topics for the news
just cant get it to show up on the front page
someone help me please

im very familar with postnuke and im looking to switch to XOOPS if i can ever figure out how to get the all the blocks i currently have to show up on pages for anon users
i dont see an option for ext cal or the news mod
if someone can give me some advice here it would be greatly appreciated
