Hi,
Not sure this is a bug with XOOPS, but I am using WF-Downloader and am unable to update the upload path. So I go through phpmyadmin and go to the xoops_config table where the variable is stored and try to modify it manually. Same thing. I can update it to "This is Crazy" with no problems. As so as I try and enter anything with /var/www at the beginning of the string, I get a "You are forbidden from using x.php, and the field is not updated.

Thanks for any advice.

Thanks, but I am not sure I understand. This is more a bug than a FAQ. For some reason the adminmenu.php isn't being created. I have made sure that the permissions on the cache folder are 777 among others but its just not generating the file.

Thanks for any further direction you can give me

Hi,
I have just installed the new version of XOOPS 2.14 and am having some problems getting to the Admin Screen. I can log in and click on Admin in the usermenu. Then I get the standard screen "This is your first time to enter the administration section. Press the button below to proceed". I do so, and I get the same screen reloading over and over again, and I get no further.

Hope someone can help

Juls
