Thank you for responding. It's most appreciated.

I guess what I mean to say is once logged in it still says "Hello Guest." I also do not see a way to access the admin area of xoops.

Haven't logged into my site for awhile and now that I have time to work on it again, the admin login area seems missing. Can anyone help? I thank you in advance for any help you can offer.

Wendy

Please read this FAQ concerning the use of Fantastico and then decide for yourself

Thanks everyone! I appreciate all the prompt help.

Even though XOOPS was installed originally through Fantastico it does not allow updates other than manually.

John, I'll follow the link you provided and let you know how that works out.

David suggested in pm that I use the full install. In doing the full install will I lose any content I've already created?

Again, thank you for helping me work through my issues.

I'm receiving update notifications. It's obvious I'm way out of date. But could someone possibly point me to the proper update from version 2.0.13.1 (2.0.16)?

TIA

Thanks for everyone trying to help. But loading the site just starts with
"You do not have permission.."

and then reverts to

'Sorry, there is no article to display.
If the page does not automatically reload, please click here
'

Never allowing me a login page to begin with.

Just edited this post to say that nothing worked but my other webmaster was able to assign another module on the home page. For some reason smartsection did not want to be there. Then I was able to login again.

Thanks for everyone's input though. I really appreciate the efforts.

there are items to display. It works for my other webmaster. Just refreshes for me. I may have to get her password in and see what happened. But stil this is bizzare. Can this mod not be used on home page?

I get this error:

'Sorry, there is no article to display.'

and then the page continues to refresh itself.
