This is an IIS issue. I am on an IIS server and I always have to get my web host to read-only mainfile.php. My web host has to literally right-click the file and select read-only in the properties.

It's a pain whenever I need to edit mainfile.php

I am my web host and I have physically verified that the mainfile.php is read only and the install folder is removed yet I still have the issue.The everyone OU is the only group with read-only perms. Is this fixed in the latest version?

So after a couple of installs I continue to recieve this error. I have verified that mainfile.php is read only and have searched the forums extensivelly yet have not been able to find any sort of a solution.

I have hit this same brick wall....argh.
Did you ever have any luck getting this figured out?
