Hi! I just created my website

http://www.packet-switch.com

using XOOPS months ago. The design is pretty good in my opinion but it takes too long to download the pages and its not that seo-friendly.

I am deciding to make another website actually two websites. One is like a blog (probably I might use Wordpress Module unless you can recommend a better one) and the other is a Law Office site.

What XOOPS version and Theme that you can recommend I can use that is SEO-friendly as well as nice to look at. I mean, the first one which is a blog... like a what theme should I use and the other one which is professional looking.

Thanks.

I can't seem to make my download module to work!

I'm using WF-Downloads and every time I add a file it doesn't show up in the download listing.

Is there a Download manual that I can use or a tutorial?

I just installed XOOPS! 2.2.3 and upgraded to 2.2.4
I want to add the Company Pack module, but it is a tgz file. How do I unzip it and install it as module in my site?

to update to 2.2... should I delete my previous install of XOOPS! or use the patch instead? I have an existing site online already created from XOOPS! 2.0.13.2

Is it safe/secure to upgrade since security of the site is a major concern of mine. I have to put SSL on to those who logs-in to my site.

I'm using XOOPS! 2.0.13.2 in creating my business website

Should I upgrade to 2.2.x to customize my user registration?

I'm using XOOPS! 2.0.13.2

Question #1:
Is there any hack instruction that I can do to edit/delete some of the user registration field names?

Question #2:
How do I change the "register now" link in the user menu to "sign up now" link?

I change the themel.html to the one you edited, but there was still no change------the custom block I created did not appear.

I edited theme.html myself... moved xoops_contents above xoops_blocks-------but still no change when I created a custom block.

So I went back to my previous (unedited) theme.html, and created this time a custom block which I positioned "block left"--------still there was no change, the custom block I made (despite that I gave a weight=20) did not appear.

Maybe the problem is with the theme itself.
