I guess this place is dead now. Too bad. I abandoned XPress for the full version of WordPress and is is WAY better. I will be doing the same with XOOPS as well. Too many headaches.

I just upgraded from XPress 2.04 to 2.05 because my host made me. Long aggravating story....Anyway...

I now have 2.05 installed and all my data is there however when I go to the blog home page:http://www.pridedepot.com/modules/wordpress/index.php all I can see is the header.php and footer.php display content but nothing in between.

I deleted all Cache in the site and my browser, deleted all the file sin templates_c directory, re-generated the templates to no avail!

Of course this kind of thing always happens at the worst possible time.

PLEASE HELP!
Thanks!

P.S. Haven't been here in ages. I like the site rebuild! Much faster and looks great!

RE: XOOPS 2.0.16 / xcGallery 2.03

I would like to add pre-selected search terms in a drop down list that user can use to search IN ADDITION to manually entering keyword search criteria that already exists in this module.

This is an artist gallery site. Some of the pre-selectable search terms need to be things like: Abstract, Landscapes, Photography etc.

I have successfully added the drop down box width search terms but I do not know how to do the coding to get it to query the DB and display the results just as the normal manual entry keyword search works.

I have been trying these modifications in the search block code using HTML? Is this right approach or should I be doing something else? I can modify code if I have some guidance but I am not a programmer so any assistance would be most appreciated.

Thanks skenow that is certainly something to consider. However in most cases for my situation there is only one album per artist. It is only on occasion that an artist would have two or more collections of work that need to be separated.

Therefore it seems visitors would have to make two clicks deep to see the art work. I really like the one click from an index of albums from a visual and usability standpoint.

If there is someone out there who could code this feature, "nesting Albums", I would be interested in perusing the viability of that.

To answer your question, I will be the only one uploading art users will not.

Hey Thanks for the help Panwac but I am not sure we understand each other or at least I am not understanding you. :)

I am not asking about searching. I just want to create an album beneath an existing album. Although I will want the existing search routine to see those Albums just like it currently does parsing title, keywords and custom fields. Is that what you mean about searching?

As far as the album configuration is concerned, perhaps the following example will be clearer.

When you click on the root album (Album-Artist 1 below) you see the two sub albums.(Landscapes & Abstracts)

Example:

Album 1 - John Doe Artist (Contains thumbs for sub-Albums 1A & 1B only, no other images.
- sub-Album 1A: Landscapes (this contains only landscape art photos)
- sub-Album 1B: Abstracts (this contains only abstract art photos)

Are we talking about the same thing?

I have a list of albums that I have created. One album represents a different artist. I would like to create a sub-album for some of the artists in order to separate some of their work by say media like pastels or acrylics etc. or by the type of art it is such as landscapes or abstracts etc.

Ideally I would like to click on one artist album and that that go to a sub album index with say tow or three thumbnails like landscapes and abstracts each going to different groupings of or sub-albums.

Is there a way to create more than one album below an existing album?

If this is not possible, any suggestions for a workaround would be VERY appreciated!

Thanks for the suggestion. I tried disabling Windows update entirely and it does not help. I am confused about svchost.exe. I have several incidents of it running, Microsoft says it is necessary but process library says it is a virus.??? (CORRECTION I the virus is svhost.exe NOT svChost.exe.)

Irrespective of that, it is the website itself that is taking up the CPU resources NOT svchost.exe
