Hello there,

is there a way to login as admin invisible for other users ?

I want to prevent admin-accounts from being displayed in the "Who's online" block.

Thanks !

Hello again,

a question about CBB 3.05 :
Is there a way to see ALL pending posts that are waiting for approval at once ?

At the moment I have to go to each Forum and select admin to see whether there are pending posts or not.

Thanks !

Hi everybody,
I just found the following article about Google and dyn. created websites:

Quote:
What did Google change?
Until November, Google had the following statement in its webmaster guidelines:
"Don't use "&id=" as a parameter in your URLs, as we don't include these pages in our index."
This entry has been removed from Google's guidelines. Here's the official statement from Google's blog:

"Google now indexes URLs that contain that parameter. So if your site uses a dynamic structure that generates it, don't worry about rewriting it -- we'll accept it just fine as is.
Keep in mind, however, that dynamic URLs with a large number of parameters may be problematic for search engine crawlers in general, so rewriting dynamic URLs into user-friendly versions is always a good practice when that option is available to you.
If you can, keeping the number of URL parameters to one or two may make it more likely that search engines will crawl your dynamic urls."

What does this mean to your web site?

If you have a dynamically created web site that uses only one or two parameters to create web pages then it's likely that Google can index your web pages without problems.
If you use more parameters then you should rewrite your URLs. Rewriting your URLs makes sure that most search engines will be able to index your site.
If you cannot rewrite your URLs then it helps if at least one stable link points to a dynamically created page. If a web page can be found through a direct link then it is more likely that search engines index that page.

Can anybody confirm that, and does it affect XOOPS-Installations ?
If I understand it correctly, there will be no need to use Short-URLs anymore.

Hello everyone,

two questions about Shoutbox 3.2 :

1. How can I change the Shoutbox-Block to update automatically by default ?

2. When I open the popup it is very small, text is unreadable. I have to pull the window of the popup to the full screen-width to get everything readable.
Any suggestions ?

Thanks !

I agree with that and I don't want to block half the internet ... (there wouldn't be much traffic on the site and that isn't that what I want ) ...

But for a few "idiots" I know the anonymizer the normaly use (and in fact the "idiots" are always the same people).

Maybe it is possible to block only these two or three ranges.

Surely it is a right!
But when it is used to abuse a system it isn't a right anymore.

I see that you are from germany, too.
I think you know about actual court decision regarding responsibility of
webmasters for entries in the forums ?!
