I get kicked out from my site over and over.
When I first log, it alls seems fine. Then I make some changes, add a page or edit content, and then suddenly I get that error. Then I can not log in again.

This is misbehavior of some sort.

What can I do to stop this?

It happens with both IE and FF btw.

Thx jd.
Actually I started with the cache folder, and after making a backup to be sure, I deleted the two files in that folder. When I checked login worked. So first I guess it tried to load the site from the cache folder, and when that did not contain any data it loaded mainfile.php.

Well good to see it all works now.

Thx again.

I installed XOOPS to my rootfolder.
After struggling with the installation, I finally made progress, and all things was just fine. I had to use a subdomain like mydomain.com.myhost.com during installation because the domain was not transferred yet.

Today my domaintransfer was ok. Thinking that mianfile.php holds the physical/virtual path changes where made there.

Orginal mainfile:
// XOOPS Virtual Path (URL)
// Virtual path to your main XOOPS directory WITHOUT trailing slash
// Example: define('XOOPS_URL', 'http://mydomian.85.seekdotnet.com');
define('XOOPS_URL', 'http://mydomain.85.seekdotnet.com');

After Changes:

// XOOPS Virtual Path (URL)
// Virtual path to your main XOOPS directory WITHOUT trailing slash
// Example: define('XOOPS_URL', 'http://mydomain.com');
define('XOOPS_URL', 'http://mydomian.com');

The physical path was left intouched, as there had been no changes to that.

When trying to go to mydomain.com/index.php I get the familliar log in box. However, using my username and password created during insatllation does not work.
I get an error saying:

Selected module does not exist!

What went wrong here? Could it be that I have tomake changes to more then the mainfile.php? And if so could people tell me what files needs to be changed?

Hmm. Strange. I tried to muscle past the error during the install, and guess what, it is working.
The databse connection worked, and the tables was created.
When I clicked the link to my site, I was rather impressed that it would run, becaause of the error.

I guess one have the option to override the installer, by muscle past it

I have xoop srunning without trouble in mydomain.com/xoops.
Installing it into a seperate directory was a breeze.
No errors during install, it all went so well. Had to use this tweak, but after that it all went well.

then i tried to redo it, this time into my publi_html folder, or root folder. This way people can view sites by intering mydomain.com rather then mydomain.com/xoops.
It should be simple really. But for some reasson I can not complete the install process in my root folder.
I get this error:

check path & URL
Physical path is correct.
Physical path must be a directory.
Virtual path is a valid URL.

The server path to your XOOPS root directory: D:/Clients/my_ID/mydomain.com/public_html
URL to your XOOPS root directory:http://mydomain.com.85.seekdotnet.com

<Physical path must be a directory.>

Correct me if I am wrong, but the pulic_html folder is a directory, right?

Below are the server info:

General Server Information
Operating System Windows 2003
.NET Version 1.1.4322 & 2.0 and 2.0
PHP Version 5.12
IIS Version 6
Perl Version Active Perl 5.8
MySQL 5.12
Xoops 2.0.13.2
host: seekdotnet.com

So , basically I can install and run it if I install it into a subfolder of the public_html folder. How can I install it into the root folder?
