Okay, I went to:

system - preferences - general settings - and turned on php debug

then i refreshed my XOOPS page, and got an error associated with the shopping cart for xosc. i turned off the shopping cart block, refreshed, and it was okay. i went back in, turned the block back on, and refreshed and it was okay also. went into the settings again, turned off debug, and it's still okay...

so i guess it's solved. odd though.

Xoops 2.0.13.2

I installed the SmartSection module last night, and tested it today. I made a couple of categories, a test article, and a test block.

Everything worked fine.

I wanted to change a couple of other block placements, so I do so, then when I refreshed my XOOPS page, nothing showed up. I am not receiving any error messages, just a blank page.

I was installing the content module at the time, but I have deleted that and reset the blocks to how I believe they were before the white page showed up. It's still showing up.

My administration is still working normally.

What causes this, and how can I fix it?

I see that you post at bbpixel as well... I tried 1.5, and then downgraded my XOOPS to 2.0.13.2 and tried 1.4i as well as the db converter. My forum right now has a little under 50,000 posts, and just over 1,000 members. When I would try to run the conversion script for 1.4, it wouldn't work (time out I'd imagine). Any tips?

How can I change the colors on my mini-pical block? Right now it is showing up with a green bar where the month goes, and the dates are red, navy, and blue with a green background highlighting the current date.

I'd love to see a working bridge for vbulletin or IPB 1.3. I've tried the IPB integration, but the databases are not connecting. Right now, I'm working with SMF, but I prefer IPB due to the features and mods available for it. I'd like to upgrade to vb, but I have yet to find a good portal or cms system for it. Also, I love that XOOPS can integrate with oscommerce and coppermine, two others that I currently use on my existing site.

Anonymous viewing is turned on again, sorry about that!

I got rid of the debug info, but I still cannot get the categories and albums to display how I want (see first link above).

I went back into my Coppermine admin for my current gallery, and I believe this is what is missing from xcgallery to make it work:

"Show first level album thumbnails in categories"

I tried creating a block, but this doesn't do what I want.

Xoops 2.0.13.2
xcGal 1.1

I currently use Coppermine for my galleries of event coverage. You can see it here:

http://import-tech.net/events/index.php?cat=0

I'm working with XOOPS right now to see if I can change my website to run with Xoops, so naturally I installed this module for the galleries.

I need to know how to make the albums display on the main page listing, rather than having to select the category first (in this case, the year). If you take a look at my current setup, you'll see what I want, compared to what I have:

http://import-tech.net/xoops/modules/xcgal/index.php?cat=

Also, there is a table at the bottom that says "Debug Info". I'm not sure if this is visible for anonymous or registered users, or if it's just for the admin, but I'd like to know how to hide that.

xosc (oscommerce) questions

I am toying around with XOOPS right now to see if I can use it to replace my current site setup (osCommerce, Mambo, IPB 1.3).

My current oscommerce shop uses a few contributions, and I'd want to include some of these in it if I do end up switching to Xoops.

My questions:

1. Can I safely overwrite the xosc files with my current osc files?

2. Since I haven't tested it yet, does xosc use the XOOPS login? osCommerce regulary uses email addresses for logins, which I know is a reason some have had trouble integrating it with other portals/forums/etc.

3. Can I transfer my current osc database safely, without changes (or many changes)?

4. If I can't replace the xosc files with my current osc files, then does xosc work with STS templates, as well as other osc contributions?
