Whilst it is sad to see a site such as ModCentral pull out of supporting Xoops, one can probably put it down to bias...

The webmaster has invited your feedback as he does not believe we visit "...I am interested in your wants and needs on the site..."

At the end of the day, XOOPS is not dependant on such sites, whilst their support is helpfull. We need to not get stuck on such issues and allow the public to choose... albeit when you remove one from a website it becomes an unbalanced choice... competition is good for both competitors. I think e-Xoops is a healthy thing but the colourful language that often comes with die hard fans does not help at all...

In short the XOOPS team is doing well, lets continue to support this project. The new module repository sounds fantastic and I am sure we all look forward to it.

Well done XOOPS team. You have my support!

Now thats oozing style!

The potential is mind boggling... the flexibiluty of XOOPS is trully powerfull... We are looking at XOOPS as the answer for non profit organizations which do not have much money... your efforts are remarkable...

I hope our efforts will be half as good as yours

ARMS 0.4 :: At point of installation I get a blank screen

G'day, hope somebody can shed light on this issue.

I have downloaded the Arms 0.4, it promises to be everything I am looking for in a document manager for Xoops. We are running latest stable xoops.

I unzipped into the modules directory, inadvertently giving the directory and subsequent files the wrong ownership.

When viewing the XOOPS modules for installing, there were errors on the screen... I quickly went back and did a recursive correction of ownership.

Now it appears in the modules not installed without any error but when I click to install, it goes to a blank screen (normally I would be asked to confirm the install). The url it goes to is as follows;
http://correct_domain_name/modules/system/admin.php?fct=modulesadmin&op=install&module=arms

I have desperately tried to find somebody else having the same problem but alas have not. It is only me? Is there something else I must do after stuffing up the file ownerships? Please, if anybody could put me onto the right track, it would be most appreciated.

Thank you for you time and a happy new year from sunny Australia!

John
