Thanks for you quick reply.

Although the topic did not solve my problem directly, it did point me towards the `xoops_groups_users_link` table: this table was completely empty!
Only the newly registered users were here. I've filled it up with the existing users and everyone can login once again.

I've no clue how this could happen, since I'm the only user with access to the database and I did not touch in days! strange indeed.

Thanks again.

I've got a site 'running' on XOOPS (version 2.2.3, which is by the way a drama!).

Somehow the existing users, including my admin account, can't login anymore. All users do login, but get redirected and the message that they've got no rights to acces the page.
Registration of new user is still posible and everything seems ok with them.
I've already read soem topics, which blaim this on the sesion table, which should be emptied or repaired, but did not help me.

I've tried to create a user based on the existing admin user via phpMySQL, but this does not seem to be accespted as admin-user in XOOPS!

Anyone any other idea's how I can get existing user to work again or create a new admin user?

Thanks in advance.

I hope I'm not too late in warning you that XOOPS 2.2.3a is far from solid, although it is not officially confirmed. See my struggles this topic topic and be warned!

The reason I moved from 2.0.13.2 (which is solid as a rock) to 2.2.3a final was because I needed a professional forum.
I had no luck getting x-IPB module (from bbpixel.com) to work XOOPS login.

And 2.2.3 is more chaotic (in my opinion, qua structure) but I was able to get x-IPB v1.5b to work flawlessly with XOOPS now.

Now I was running into the mysterious 'dissapearing blocks' and just five minutes ago I've 'solved' the problem, by updating the 'System' module.
I don't knwo if this will stay okay for long, but my humble advice would be to stick or move to 2.0.13.2.

Hi All,

After having used v2.0.13.2 (which is incedibly stabile) I've moved to 2.2.3 Final (a clean install).
However I'm running into very basic issues (bugs?). Some blocks/modules don't appear and some appear only with
the their heading/warpping, without the actual content.
For example the internal blcok search does not show the editbox en the button, only shows the block title 'Search'.
I'm having this issue also with the TinyEvent module and de x-IPB module!
It's not a permissions./autoristaion issue and what I understand from other topics that it might be a bug in XOOPS 2.2.3.
Am I missing some options? WHich might me well the case, since the admin menu in 2.2.3 is in my opinion is much less easy to find and understand.

Can someone tell me what the official status of these issues are? And how I can work around these very basic and important issues?

Any pointers are welkom.

PS: I've already search the XOOPS forum and google, but if there's another topic for this issue anyway, please feel free to let me know.

Thanks in advance.

Not sure which article management module you are using, but most of the more recent article modules include a spotlight block that does what you want.

Aha! That just maybe the problem; I was assuming I could accomplish this with the built-in
'News' module, but I understand this is not the case?
I'll try installing an article-module; thanks for the hint.

BTW, also thanks for the tutorials on your site, which helped me a lot too ;)

Although having read many forums and tips/tricks/turorials I haven't been able do get a very basic feature of XOOPS to work:
I want one (or more) news-items to be already expanded/collapsed and the header to be readable. Now I'm getting al my news items as links, seehttp://www.voet-bal.info.

What am I missing? Am I focussing on the wrong module?
Waht I just want is something like the 'welkom'-block at this sitehttp://www.adezign.nl for example...
Seems basic to me...if you're knowing what you're doing ;)

Any help is preciated. Thanks in advance!

PS: I'm using XOOPS v2.0.13
